Hi Paul, This trip was everything we hoped it would be.
1. Staff were fantastic. A nice relaxed approach. As we were still you might say novices we were taken by divemaster rebekka who was perfect as she was able to tune into our proficiency level quickly and help us to advance. My friend suffered an injury climbing back on to the boat when his foot slipped off the ladder on the third dive and his kneecap hit the rung. He had pretty much given up the prospect of further diving and had suffered a loss of some confidence. With some subtle mental coaching from Rebekka and an adjustment to gearing up in the water he gave it another go and was lucky to have taken the dive where we saw 2 mantas at about 6 sweeps and so was elated. He was only able to do 2 further dives but will remember it forever.
2. Food. Just what we where looking for - "Great Thai Food" all day all the way. Usually much better than a lot of the overly modified for Western tastes served in Thailand. Always more than enough and with great little thai snacks in between dives. I doubt two dishes were the same over . 10 out of 10
3. Comfort. I think exactly what you pay for ie good value. no compalints. with only 9 on board it was great
4. equipment. all quite new and functioning properly.

Yes, saw some great things, a giant manta ray but unfortunately no whale sharks! :( Overall the trip was good and value for money. Crew were very friendly and a lot of fun. My only real gripe was that there are no non-smoking areas and basically with a boat full of smokers (including the crew) there was absolutely nowhere on the boat I could go to be away from the smoke. I have worked on and been on many liveaboards and day trip boats all over the world and this is the only boat I have ever been on where smoking is not restricted to the upper deck. The trip was quite unpleasant in this regard and really affected the overall experience. I would highly recommend the owners consider having designated smoking areas on the boat to cater for non smokers. Thanks for all your help arranging the trip. The diving was very nice and I am very happy I managed to see such great things. Michael
