Daranee Liveaboard

Daranee is a low budget no frills dive liveaboard that has been serving divers well for years.

Daranee has an interesting schedule. You can choose a short Similan Islands only trip or a northern trip that bypasses the Similans and does all the dives at Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. It's the big fish trip for divers who want to focus on seeing mantas and whalesharks.

What Daranee lacks in luxury she makes up for in friendliness. Guests repeatedly tell us how much they enjoyed the company of the Thai staff. The authentic Thai food also gets high praise.

• Max 18 guests in twin and four share bunk cabins. There are three shared bathrooms/showers. All cabins have air con and a sea view. Cabin windows can be opened if you prefer sea air to AC.
• Individually controlled air conditioning in each cabin. Plus reading lamps and 24h power for camera and dive light charging.
• 24m length, 5m beam.

Excluded in the above prices: Equipment rental, alcohol & soft drinks. Marine National Park Fees payable on the boat.

You only need to pay a 30% deposit to book your liveaboard. You can pay the balance on arrival in Thailand.

Daranee Itineraries:

Similan Islands Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up around 1000hrs in Phuket, transfer to Daranee at Thap Lamu pier (Khao Lak). First dive at the Boonsung Wreck then cruise to the Similan Islands for one day dive and one night dive.

Day 2: 4 dives Similan Islands.

Day 3: 2 dives Similan Islands then cruise back to Thap Lamu and transfer to your hotel Expect to be back in Phuket hotels by 1700 hrs.

Diving Day 4: 2 dives in the Similans then return to Thap Lamu. Transfer to your hotel in Phuket, arriving at about 1800hrs.

Surin Islands Itinerary:

Day 1: Pick up around 1000hrs in Phuket, transfer to Daranee at Thap Lamu pier (Khao Lak). First dive at the Boonsung Wreck then cruise to Koh Bon for one day dive and one night dive.

Day 2: Diving at Koh Tachai and Surin Islands (4 dives)

Day 3: Diving at Surin Islands and Richelieu Rock (4 dives)

Day 4: 1 dive at Koh Bon pinnacle, one dive at Premchai Wreck then return to Thap Lamu. Transfer to your hotel in Phuket, arriving at about 1800hrs.
