MV Saimai Dive and Snorkel charter boat is all about comfort and relaxation for small groups. It's a totally different philosophy to the pile 'em high boats that are so prevalent these days. At 21m long SaiMai is not a small boat. she used to accommodate 12 guests for liveaboards but in a 2010 refurbishment some cabins were removed to increase space onboard. She now has some of the biggest cabins around. On a Saimai charter you feel special, pampered, cared for. Divers have room to kit up and dive in small groups. You will not be rushed, your dives will not be cut short. Non divers and catered for just as well as divers, not treated like an afterthought. If you have a group of 4-6 divers or non divers SaiMai is the perfect option for you. You can also charter Saimai to dive Burma. Saimai's tour leader is very experienced diving the Mergui Archipelago.

Max 6 guests for liveaboard charter. Max 12 guests for day charter. Small dive groups. Three spacious cabins with en suite bathrooms and individually controlled AC. Each cabin has storage space and flat screen TV. Two cabins have a double bed plus a single bed. One cabin has two single berths. Plenty of room on the dive deck. Plenty of room for all guests in the shaded areas and on the sundeck. 21m loa, 5.5m beam, 2m draft. Cruising speed 8 knots, max 10 knots. Made of the finest Asian hardwoods. Completely refitted in 2010. Delicious Thai and European food. Very experienced captain and crew. Focus on customer satisfaction. Multi lingual staff. Nitrox.

Price on application The daily charter rate for SaiMai depends on where you want to go and what you want to do. A short cruise around Phuket will be cheaper than a long distance trip to the Similan Islands. Please tell us your plans and we'll quote you a great price.

Typically we charter SaiMai on an all inclusive basis. That will include guides, transfers, all national park fees, all meals and all drinks (including local beers). You only need to pay a 30% deposit to book your liveaboard. You can pay the balance on arrival in Thailand.

Saimai Itinerary: There is no fixed itinerary. Tell us where you want to go and we'll help you plan the best itinerary.

Saimai Layout:

Upper deck: The shaded upper deck saloon area is the social hub of the boat where meals are served and drinks are drunk. There is a sound system for music if you wish. Also on the upper deck is a large (20sqm) sun deck for sun worshippers. There are also several beanbags on the sundeck.

Main deck: The dive deck is well equipped for scuba divers. Tanks are 12 litre aluminium with an international yoke fitting. 15 litre tanks are available. DIN adapters are available. There is plenty of room for storage and a dedicated area for underwater photographers. The main deck also has a saloon area that can easily sit all guests if the weather turns nasty. There is a home theatre system here.

Lower deck: The three guest cabins are all on the lower deck. These spacious cabins have a warm feel from the original hardwood. The forward v berth sleeps 2 guests in bunk berths. The cabins on the port and starboard side have a double bed and a single bed. All cabins are very spacious with lots of headroom and storage space. Each cabin has a flat screen TV.
